University of Arizona, Tucson - ExecConnect


Prior to becoming the president of Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia, Dr. Keith Miller attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, receiving a PhD in Education in 1983. Dr. Keith Miller also earned a master's degree in public administration from the University of Arizona, Tucson in 1981.

The University of Arizona, Tucson features the ExecConnect program, offering students in the Masters of Public Administration (MPA) program the chance to connect with UA alumni who are serving in national, statewide, and local positions in the nonprofit sector as well as in government jobs. Alumni are encouraged to advise current students regarding any job opportunities within their organizations.

The purpose of ExecConnect is to help students with access to jobs they might not be aware of along with having a potential mentor to help them get a good start in the area of public administration. Mentors are also encouraged to help students with creating professional profiles that will generate attention in their respective fields.
